I can't say enough about this place. Authentic Cajun soul, with the southern hospitality and quaint atmosphere to boot. If you haven't been here, go! You won't regret it.
I seriously mean no offense to anyone whatsoever. I just had seen the website and it made me crave not only the food but the experience and when we arrived we were disappointed. You can walk through the entrance of the gas station then head straight to the back and enter Maymoes. There is a register set up where the cashier takes your order and if you want a drink you purchase the cup and fill it up at the gas station soda machine. As far as the food goes, I had the Cajun shrimp grilled cheese and it was pretty tasty comfort food. My wife had the seafood gumbo and she enjoyed it. My five year old had the mac and cheese and he thought it was good. The prices are very reasonable, not that many choices, and a young staff that fools around loudly in the back, but if you are looking for a fast food style ,quick bite to eat while you fill up gas and want a change of pace? This is the place for you. Honestly though, If I was filling up gas there, I would totally get take out again for that shrimp grilled cheese!
Hands down the best food in northern Utah! Being from the south, I desperately miss soul food and this fits the bill every time. Great prices and great service for food full of flavor and love. You can tell they care about the customer experience and results of their labor. You will not be disappointed!
The food was delicious and tasted like a home cooked meal! I really enjoyed the Alligator Platter and all of the contents of it. Everything was battered well and the flavors were excellent! The service was prompt even though they were busy and the people cooking, as seen on the side with the Tesoro, were working their hardest to make sure you got your money's worth. I highly recommend this authentic Cajun restaurant!
When my family and I arrived we were kind of taken by surprise. The way the restaurant is advertised it seems like...I don't know how to really explain it, but... like a restaurant?
I absolutely love this place, I went tonight and again had a great experience!!! The owner was super sweet and the staff were great. I don't know what your talking about Mr. David Schirado but I did however notice you have nothing but bad reviews on other places maybe you should just COOK then ... truly always your customer DEE
